Welcome to Rhode Island Fishing Reports.
The Ocean State is known for its great Bass, Panfish, Trout and Saltwater fishing opportunities. With 95,000 licensed anglers, spending 1.6 million days on the water, there are a lot of great fishing stories to be told. We encourage Rhode Island anglers to share their experiences while afield – either good or not so good. Contributing your helpful tips and timely information to the pages of American Fishing Journals will encourage others to do the same, which in turn may be a benefit to you.

Blues
9/23/2008
Charlestown Beach
Last fall we had great luck casting for blues off of Charlestown Beach. I don't normally fish off the beach there, but they were feeding on a ball of crackers, so I got out my gear and gave it a try. The three guys on the beach next to me each landed about a dozen. It was my first time there, so I didn't do as well, but I'll be back again next fall.
