Welcome to Alabama Fishing Reports.
The Yellowhammer State is known for its great Bass, Panfish and Catfishing opportunities. With 806,000 licensed anglers, spending 13.7 million days on the water each year, there are a lot of great fishing stories to be told. We encourage Alabama anglers to share their experiences while afield – either good or not so good. Contributing your helpful tips and timely information to the pages of American Fishing Journals will encourage others to do the same, which in turn may be a benefit to you.

Bass Fishing
7/24/2008
Lake Guntersville
A buddy and I took the boat down to Lake Guntersville for an afternoon of bass fishing. We hit the evening bite pretty hard and were able to hook 17 bass ranging from 1 to 6 pounds. Most of them went for a six inch black worm that we were flipping back into the brush line. We also landed a couple nice crappies, which we took home to cook. It was a really nice day with blue skies and 90 degree temp.
